Order your SIM

If you’re new to UW, you can sign up here. Existing customers can easily add to their bundle by logging into their account. Alternatively, give us a call at 0333 777 0777. And don’t worry—you can choose to keep your current number or get a new one.

Activate your SIM

Your SIM will be dispatched and should reach you within 3–5 working days. Once it arrives, you can easily activate it through your online account or the UW app.

How does a SIM only deal work?

A SIM-only deal gives you data, minutes, and texts for a set monthly cost. However, you don’t get a new phone like you would with a mobile phone deal – you just get the SIM.

How do I know if my phone is unlocked?

The easiest way to tell if your phone is unlocked is by inserting a different SIM card from another network into your mobile. If you’re able to connect to the internet, make calls, and send text messages, your phone is likely unlocked.

If you don’t have another SIM card from a different network provider, you can also check by going into your phone’s settings. The exact location will vary depending on your phone’s manufacturer, but you can typically check by:

Opening ‘Settings’
Selecting the carrier or network options
Tapping the option to choose a network provider manually. If a list of available networks appears, your phone is unlocked.
Alternatively, on an iPhone, you can select ‘Carrier lock’. If it says ‘No SIM restrictions’, your phone is unlocked.

How do I find out when my phone contract ends?

The best way to find out when your mobile phone contract ends is by checking with your current provider. You may be able to log into your online account, check on an app, or give them a call to find out.

Mobile providers are now also required to contact you with an end-of-contract notification between 10-40 days before the end of your contract. This means that your provider should make you aware when your contract is coming to an end.

How do I add more Unlimited+ SIMs?

You can take up to three additional SIMs when you have an existing Unlimited+ plan. Log into your online account or the mobile app to add more SIMs yourself, or give us a call on 0333 777 0777, and we’ll help out.

Do UW offer eSIMs?

We don’t currently offer eSIMs, but we are always looking for different ways to support our customers, so we may look to offer them in the future.

What is the best UW offers for families looking to save on mobile plans?

Can I use my own phone when I join UW?

Of course. You can use our SIMs with any unlocked handset or any phone on the EE network too.

Can I keep my phone number when I join UW?

Yep, simply contact your previous network provider or text ‘PAC’ to 65075 to get a code which will allow you to bring your current number over to your new SIM. This won’t disrupt your service either.

Will I need a new SIM card if I switch my mobile number to you?

Yes, we’ll have to send you a new SIM card if you change your mobile number. However, it’s a simple process: all you need to do is give us your Porting Authorisation Code (PAC), which you can find out by texting ‘PAC’ to 65075 for free. We’ll do the rest.

What network does UW use?

We use the EE Network.

Who are Utility Warehouse Partners?

UW Partners work as licensed distributors of UW’s services. They’re formally registered with the company and introduce new people to Utility Warehouse, explain their services, and help them sign up.

Can I add more SIMs to my Family SIM plan?

Yes, you can add more SIMs to your Family SIM Deals to keep the whole family connected. The more SIMs you add, the more you save.

Do Unlimited data SIM deals include roaming?

Yes, our Unlimited data SIM deals include EU roaming as standard with the Unlimited+ plan. You can enjoy up to 14GB of data while traveling in the EU without losing connectivity.
